Making a chart that works
- One clear goal. “Gets dressed before breakfast” is easier to earn than “is good”. Say it the way your child would.
- A reachable number. Younger children usually do better with 5 to 10 stickers and a reward within a few days; older children can save up for 20 or 30.
- A small, real reward. Time together often works as well as a toy: a trip to the park, choosing the film, baking something.
- Stickers straight away. Add the sticker right after it is earned and say what it was for.
On screen or on paper
Tap an empty spot to stick the chosen sticker on it; tap a sticker to peel it off again. Add a sticker fills the next empty spot, which is handy with a keyboard. You can keep up to six charts, one for each child or goal, and switch between them with the buttons above the chart.
To print, choose US Letter or A4 and an orientation. The chart is printed on its own with big empty circles for real stickers or a crayon tick; tick Print the stickers already earned to include the ones on screen.
